'ol #4

In my anticipation of his impending retirement following his latest injury, I would like to jot down my final thoughts on the Mississippi dong slinger aka #4 aka the diva aka Brett Favre. I have never hid my disgust for him over the twilight of his tenure with Green Bay and his antics over the last 3 years as he jettisoned from New York to Minnesota. I will never discount his raw talent or his many accomplishments throughout his career as an all time great QB in NFL history, but in my eyes he will be remembered for his treatment of QB in waiting Aaron Rodgers and his refusal to help mold him into a leader of one of footballs most historic franchises. His decisions to hold the Packers hostage with talk of retirement for 5 years put them in a difficult position when it came to drafting players and going after certain free agents because good 'ol Brett was mulling his choices, knowing full well he had every intention of returning, but didn't want to go through the riggers of training camp, just an example of his diva like persona. His disdain for Packer management became evident after they informed him of their intentions to move forward with Rodgers, and being the classy beloved individual he was in Green Bay, he tries his hardest to sign with their most hated rival in Minnesota, essentially waving his middle finger to a fan base that worshiped the very ground he walked on. As we all know he would eventually sign there after a failed stint with the Jets where he exposed the next layer of his doucheiness by sending pics of his starting QB to Jenn Sterger. I really could care less that he did that at all, what anyone does in their free time is their business, but the part that is enraging is the NFL's turtle like pace in their investigation of this matter. I'm willing to bet that if it was some middle of the road linebacker that was in this predicament, they would have been suspended immediately for the same actions, but not teflon Brett. This injury that stopped his streak of consecutive starts at 297 and most likely ends his career couldn't have been timed better for the NFL to do absolutely nothing as far as punishment goes. I just hope that he goes away after this season and we no longer have to be witness to his antics both on and off the field and hear the kiss ass' at ESPN get down on their knees and service him every broadcast. Good Riddance (I hope)

Let me start off by saying that im extremely proud to be a citizen of the United States and would do anything asked of me to help defend it, but I have a feeling I may be in the minority in my support of the Wikileaks document releasing extravaganza they have started. I dont support the matter in which they were obtained from the low level military personnel involved, but the fact that the veil of secrecy that has been status quo for the government for decades is finally being pulled back ever so slightly, is somewhat refreshing. Until the radical anarchist who founded wikileaks releases "top secret" documents like nuclear codes or troop postions etc., then i dont mind one bit that the rest of the world discovers we talk shit behind their backs just as they do ours. While its no surprise we are the worlds leading superpower, we are also the most disrespected and hated nation amongst the rest of the population. Im so sick of our involvement in world affairs and our constant coddling of corrupt regimes who depend on us for protection but offer us nothing in return but more headaches passed onto the taxpayers. When is enough going to be enough? I could give a shit whether Kim Jong Il takes over the entire Korean peninsula and reigns hell all over the region, they offer nothing to society that could effect our nation as a whole. The Chinese need to step up and force open their slanted eyes to the situation brewing and know that its in their best intrest to monitor the chaos and show the rest of the world that although they are communist scum, they can play enforcer to a corrupt region. I hate the fact that we disperse so much of our monetary wealth to bailout other nations when we are in the middle of a shit storm here at home. I realize im fairly ignorant to the whole big picture of our objectives overseas, but if the release of some of these wikileaks papers changes the mindset of foreign dignitaries about dealing with the US, then I say Good riddance scumbags who needs ya anyway.
